Rescue

Grieving Nelson is ceding to desire for a new dog, possibly two(!), at the home of my brother and sister-in-law. Nelson was an AKC-certified son of show schnauzers, apparently, and his grandfather was John Barrymore. This time, however, they are going for rescue dogs, which is nice. My first thought, though, was: who abandons a schnauzer?
