Again: death penalty, please

WAIT!

Rockwell made me think of Maxfield Parrish and album cover was quickly born:

Oh, Norman

Was trying to find my fave Norm Rockwell pic (huh - can't) but I found this, which I had never seen in a book on the man, but is evidently famous enough to be on, like, plates and such. Maybe it's a favorite among linemen.

The cheeky English

Andrew Sullivan linked to a BBC article where they had a 13-year old review a Walkman (having its 30th anniversary, doncha know):

Another notable feature that the iPod has and the Walkman doesn’t is “shuffle”,
where the player selects random tracks to play. Its a function that, on the face
of it, the Walkman lacks. But I managed to create an impromptu shuffle feature
simply by holding down “rewind” and releasing it randomly - effective, if a
little laboured.

This killed me. A thirteen year old Amurrican would have said:

This dont work right. Theres no shuffle. WTF? My stepdad's a
asshole.

Have a happy 4th!

Back Monday!

Two (2) truly awful things I saw yesterday

1.

2. A dude who looked like this picture of Hulk Hogan, only a bit more Jimmy Buffett somehow, stopped at a red light in a black BMW convertible, who, as I turned, opened his driver's side door, leaned over and puked! Then sat right back up as if it were the most natural thing in the world. My friend I yelled "Grody, dude!" at him, which was fanTAStic.
