Kids ARE jumping bonfires on the heath!

None more autumnal! This new Clientele LP, which I'm going to listen to until I can't any longer, is so fall equinox-y, it's...it's...I dunno, like Pelican West and Steve McQueen [Two Wheels Good, U.S.] had a baby. Sitting here in my office with this pup on repeat, with a view of some orange-ing trees and variegated strips of cloud and sky, I almost feel like things might be okay in the end. Almost!

It's sort of like an alternate soundtrack to the "France sequences" in the It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The real version of which I still search for, fruitlessly.

Shop of ire!

(click on pitcher for enbiggening)

This snuck up on me...

No, goddammit, I was just looking to see if you were paying attention. "Snuck" is not a word! I don't care what the dictionary says, nor do I give a rip about "acceptable slang." Jesus. Where are the standards?

This rant brought to you by Apple, with their new iPod banner ads declaring the latest version to be the (get ready) "funnest iPod ever."

So, when dipshit tweens say "funnest" they can go, "Nuh uh, it's a real word, that Wozniak dude sezz!"

"Blues from a Gun"

Woke up with this JaMC song in my head - here it is:

Sylvia Booker Utz 1899-2009

The oldest person in Ohio! Died today!!!

Now, it's up to me, the next-oldest Ohioan. So many memories...not going to see the Smiths in Cleveland on Queen is Dead tour because I had a shift at TCBY...cracking my skull open after Monument Club...Kettering pool...
Did someone at least have the sense to tell her about the whole Utz potato chips thing on Mad Men?

Overheard:

"Let's error on the side of caution..."

(<<<---me, upon hearing this)
