"WHORRRLNT! SCRAAANNNT! ZORP ZORP! RRRRL!"

We love Margot to pieces and we are so glad she came to live with us! Even Picci, with a ball of fur where her brain stem should be, has warmed to this fine kid.

BUT (and is there not always one [?]?) she does have one particular crazy habit...for some unknown reason, she just LOVES to push the plastic water dish/basin-doodad around the floor of the catfeteria (see what I did there). So, at, say, two a.m., one can be jostled awake by the random woody scrapings of plastic on million-year old oak floorboards (see post title for further elucidation). Oh, there's no reason for it. Our friend Betsy puts forth the notion that M likes to see the water slosh around, or the colliding circles of displaced water puddling to and fro.

Whatever! I'm just sure I am being made to pay for wrongs in some past lifetime, and am bound to hear these nocturnal skronkings for the next million years! And I will be glad of it!

The culprit, in her domain:

Sigh. Then I would watch this:

If I had had the sense to stay home, I would have watched this:

Tree partially down at community garden!

Growing season should be unchanged. Just sayin'.

D_____ Ice City

Yeah, there were distant booms all night as power substations blew up, etc. Two poles down on our street, yet our plucky little brick box remained electrified! A power cable was also laying across the entire street...

ICEDOG!

One of the co-workers found this dog wandering loose (he had tags, was a mile from home, parents have been called) out in the icy netherworld that is today. What a good boy! He just sat in the car, calmly.

Love him!

Surely?

There must be a song out there somewhere wherein a guitar lead that goes note-for-note with the vocal line ISN'T the most annoying goddam thing in the universe? Have been trying to think of one, have been failing.
