A trip to Ben Franklin

My grandma Eddy broke one of these (sans Jesus message) on my brother's ass one time.

It's a nice image, though, using this one as a paddle. "When that ball flies off there into the thicket, I'm a keep that paddle to swat you when you's actin' up!"

Is there such a thing? Not if experiences with our vicious pig are evidential.

Ah, maybe a Bat Halves reunion can be arranged.

"This is 'Plastic Bag of Cardinals'...one, two..."

Little Addison thinks: "Some day, I want to be a goth angel, just like mammaw..."

RIP, Darrell. Also, there was a Noel Gallagher "Union Jack" guitar on this poster and an Adam Jones "silverburst" Les Paul (as Cory has). But no Nick Eddy "Van Buren purple" Telecaster obviously.

YET!

Was shocked to find an exquisitely detailed flying squirrel among the molded pterodactyls and the like. Could it be that flying squirrels are a thing here? The Richmond minor league team is the Flying Squirrels. Must remember to hire an intern to look this up.

"Ya like horehound?" One of the dudes who makes the Mary Janes has a second job, steeping the horehound in copper kettles.

How to sway a jury, apparently

It's all about the pithy graphics!

Teething Cathleen and her magic cardboard box

Great idea, actually - kids love all toys and such, but even BETTER for a just-short-of-one-year-old: A CARDBOARD BOX. Little C/Kathleen sat happily munching on gum-soothing ice cubes for the better part of an hour!

Will need to remember this. When the baby is four or whatever, THAT's when we'll secure a broken fridge for playtime.

Firecrackers! Dropped down a tube!

Back fixers

Look! WWF/E (whatever they call it now) action figures, belonging to the Bride's cousin's son! I guess that would be a second cousin.

Anyway! The Bride, pregnant or no, likes to have her back pounded on, motorboat-style. Craftily, she told said li'l cousin he could make his little wrasslin' dudes jump around on her back!

Gift shoppe

Glad they still make weird little candies like this. Makes me picture two dudes who make all the Mary Janes for the whole continent, just sitting there extruding all day...

"I'm going out for smokes...you need anything?"

"Nope, just gonna keep making these Mary Janes..."

Also, I almost bought you this, whoever you are:

Ol' Virginny

Yes, we went to Virginia for the 4th!
