The "Red Plenty" Mystery

Reading an excellent book about Russia called Red Plenty.  It's sort of...I dunno, it's hard to describe.  Character essays of people in the Soviet around the post-Sputnik era and how they thought?  The writing is fantastic, sort of a friendlier Delillo with lots of scrupulous detail, but not oppressive.  Wait, what?  Anyway, I like it.

I got it from Alibis, natch, in Faber paperback, so I think it just now came out over here.

Why I'm bothering with all this is that, as I flipped through the rest of the unread portion last night, my eye caught a little green slip of paper, which I flipped back to and found it to be this:

What the hell is that?
Some sort of voucher, maybe? But who still puts Stalin on shit?

I'm just worried now that it's all some sort of ornate boondoggle set up by whatever replaced the KBG and I am destined to be "removed" by Putin's thugs - or, worse, the Bride's!

Meeting topics

1. Why are unstable people so frickin' HAWT?

2. It's unfair how coach lets his favorites borrow his car.

3. MOUTHCRAZY!

I feel like I could almost pull off this shirt:

Particularly if start playing tennis again.

I think I remember being just under two, sensing that this was happening,

standing up in my crib and shrieking, like I was about to be murdered:

Casting of my "Hedgehog!" musical COMPLETE!

In addition to the DJ challenge,

Chooch demands a kraut pizza in his rider!

* has been in my head for a week now...

Or, rather, you should spend $38 on THIS

and send it to me:

Yes, it's a promo Haircut 100 whistle that came out in 1981 with their single "Favorite Shirts."

An amazing artifact.  And practical, too: were you to buy it for me, I could wear it around my neck as a precautionary measure, to fend off my more, um, "ardent" followers.
