And, oh god, 3D

The way I see it, other than Avatar [have not seen], the whole nu-3D phenom has failed to sweep the culture as whole and fundamentally change us, which had made the people who paid the money to reinvent 3D realize hey, we have to make out money back somehow...which has, in turn, led to the mono-reprocessed-for-stereo redux of making 3D movies out of existing movies (see Beauty and the Beast and the godawful Phantom Menace).
