Tomato mayhem! Er...ToMAYHEMto...something...

Tomatoes are rampant down at the old South Park Community Garden!

Don't listen to the naysayers -- watering works [?]!

Oh, the sweet green zebras.

Blair Witch?

Check out these mad trellises that Our Mark made down at the SPCG: It really appears as if some sinister doings are afoot, but it turns out it's just some peas. Whew!

Evening planting

Then, no rest for the wicked, as I left one garden for another to get things further into shape down at the SPCG...

Here is some parsley, just about the first thing that our personal little collectivist enclave stuck all up in the earth:

Josie, who is studying Chinese and peppered our evening with her spot-on accent and new phrases (adorbs!), looks forward to next week's class to ask how to say: "Whaddya want from me?"

And, as the sun set and I scraped manure from the grooves up of my bed liner with the non-business end of a broom (tech!), the kids continued a-planting like some amazing D_____ version of The Gleaners:

Starts!

Josie, a goddess, has done about eleventy hundred starts for the upcoming garden!

THIRTY beds!

Yes, we have gone completely insane and have now built THIRTY beds down at ye olde South Park Community Garden (hereafter referred to on this here blog as SPCG). Kyle and I nailed the last ten together Saturday. Now they just need to be filled in with lasagna bedding and all will be sweet in the valley. And, yes, the clouds really were rolling by at high speeds as in a Gus Van Sant movie when he was still good.
