Drool away, suckas

Gabe and Caitlyn dropped this belated birthday bomb o'er the weekend!:

What do I want for my 41st birthday tomorrow, you ask?

Understandably, I want your change. What's in your pocket, or your purse or in your coffee can of change in the kitchen. Those two nickels, a dime and four pennies sitting in the saucer that the sick African violet lives on? Give them to me.

You can put it all in a box and leave it in front of my house in a box marked "BOOKS." Believe me, no one will touch it.

You could count it up and paypal it to me, but that defeats the sweet jingling.

A sad day

I realized this morning that I have officially run out of good songs from the past to organically remember - as in "Hey! I had completely forgotten 'Lonely Boy' by Andrew Gold!" and then going and "finding" it.

It's going to be all reading about stuff/finding out about things from people and waiting for good new stuff to come in to existence from here on out.

Do you have a CHANGE SYSTEM?

You should! I save ALL my change. All of it.

Save it all week, then on Monday morning I count the previous week's dough in little stacks. Only when I have a complete roll's worth of any denomination is it added to the TOTAL, though. So, last week, I only added five bucks to the grand total, because, while I had a goodly amount of change, it didn't tot up to whole rolls. :(

This week, though, if it keeps going as it has, I could add as much as twenty-seven bucks to to the Change Fund (will report Monday!)!

I then buy all my Ostentatious Sportswear with saved change, change that I otherwise would have just flung angrily at baristas or hurled into oncoming traffic or window fans.

This may all sound crazy, I suppose, but it sure won't once YOU have a CHANGE SYSTEM!!!
