Down at SPUG Farms
Well, I thought that I was going to have to come down with a (borrowed) power lawn mower and cut grass for four hours last week at the ol' South Park Urban Garden, but mind was blown instead to see that the CITY had come and cut down the tall, waving, lilting prairie grasses (?) and had even gone with string trimmers around the beds! EPIC! Need to get an email address and say thanks, send pizzas or maybe even 235 dollar pairs of polka dot shorts for all involved.
Went down Sunday morning en famille and puttered about:

Signage = officialdom
Yes, our county has provided our humble little community garden with a fresh sign...can't get much more official than that. Let's hope it makes it more difficult to put a Sonic over us!

Scenes from a community garden
A coupla doctors, watering on a quiet Sunday night!
Daisy says: "When are you guys going to grow some of those dried pig ear things, hmm?"
Ah! Resolution!

But, Nick, you plaintively mew...
...what's going on over at the garden???

Glad you asked! May have mentioned: building 10 more beds for a total of THIRTY!
Fantastic new neighbor Robert brought his trailer doodad over to St Vincent's Deconstruction Depot and helped my sorry carcass get this stuff back to the crib!

This wood weighed more than the SUN!
Am halfway through the cutting-down process - used brand new Xmas present carpenter's square and tape measure!

Those beds in full (until we make another 10 in the next week or so for a total of thirty -- yes, demand is that great!):
