"Content quality": I scoffed

On the "your post published successfully!" page that appears when I post, there is an ad for something called Blogworld 2010 and a 20% off electro-coupon to attend. Among promises for this event are ways to "increase revenue" (?), "grow your audience" (nah, we are a select elite bunch!), and strengthen "content quality."

This last made spit Maxwell House out my nose, because what in the world could possibly be done to improve Nick Eddy Relents?

Next week, g-d willing, it will be six years since I have had a drink. Whoot! Very happy, etc, life could not be better, blah blah - yet sometimes one sees a product that comes out after one has stopped imbibing and one pauses and thinks "What if...?" or "Dammit to hell, anyway!"

You may remember that I am a Basque. I will stop myself from saying I am your Basque Overlord. I want to be a Basque, anyway...it's coming.

So, today I read that the Basques (my people) have a currently hip wine - one that's trendy enough to make the Sips - excuse me, sorry - Pours section of the Times. Called Txakolina (chok-o-LEE-na). No fair!

It's FIZZY, for Chrissakes!
