the season opener for the Vikings was one for the "w" column, which was insane, given that there was a "20 seconds left" Jaguars TD, in keeping with the trad "4th quarter Minnesota collapse" of yore.  But nay! Fifty-some yard field goal from a rookie and insane defense in overtime gave "us" a full one-third of last year's total victories like that!

GREAT way to start the "thousand years without a loss" dealie!

The only thing I can figure is that the Vikings got McNabb because the state of Minnesota needs to have Joe Webb, say, run on a treadmill and be the only source of energy for the entire state during the winter, because of budgetary constraints. Maybe.
