1. Mike went to see the Meatmen on his birthday last week and they had a song called "The Dwarves are the Second Best Band in the World, Besides the Meatmen." Which rules.

2.  I still don't understand what makes people care a whit about the Walkmen.  They had "The Rat" but when was that nine, ten years ago?  I listened to their latest thing 2/3 of the way and just sort of drifted off.  They don't rock, the guy's voice is no big deal - they have some nice sweaters, but that's nearly it.  Oh!  And they were once Jonathan Fire*Eater, who also blew, but get points, sort of, for having an asterisk in their band name, pointlessly, pointlessly.
