Here's an interesting (to me, the only person in the world who cares about the Clientele, except Nithin's dad) interview with Alasdair from the Clientele. I was sort of hoping he'd say some cheerily British thing like "We've got it sorted to record late next year..." but no such hope-giving statements are forthcoming. Instead he talks about Amor de Dias, his other group and answers question thus (actual question being answered is immaterial):
Yes it does, specifically rhythms the Clientele probably couldn’t have mastered. Amor de Días also has more freedom from the band format, in that we don’t have four people owning four instruments who want to play on every single song.
Ouch!
