A break from all the cannibalism, yet still gory

Everywhere one turns someone is getting their face, neck, chest, breast or head eaten by some mad fucker!  Enough!

Yet nature rolls on.  Kyle was getting home the other night when Trudy (Montana) leapt from a tree with a bird in her maw as a tattered snack!  Zounds!

Yeeech!

Was at a well-known fast food establishment and ordered a Coke with my other poison and when I got back here and inserted straw and sipped, it was DIET.

Godawful! I do not know how you diet beverage drinkers do it, even after they've been making diet drinks for three years or however long.

Accentuate the crappy

Ugh - those radio commercials for the Rosetta Stone language courses!

"With Rosetta STONE, you can blah blah..."

Accent should be: "RosETta Stone;" at least, that's the way everyone in the English-speaking universe has always pronounced it, from history profs to the same-yclept local faux-REM band at your local commuter college (playing with Foggy Notion on the 16th!).

Why would I learn a foreign language from a company that doesn't get its accents right in English?

WHY?

Also annoying:

"Only in theaters!"

"Apps"

Have you heard about this? Turns out it's short for "applications," just like with a computer only on a FancyPhone if you have one.

Sitting backstage at community theatre, doing nothing, I have "downloaded" such fun accessories as a level, a ruler, a flashlight, a guitar tuner, a 4-track recorder, an old video game called Tetris and even books!

They need a gewgaw that will project Isaac Mizrahi's Unzipped on the side of a building, however.

Shameful

I know, naturally, that McDonald's is the essence of Evil or whatnot, yet that does not change the fact that I was craving a Royale with cheese, so I drove there - but when I arrived, I was swayed from Primary Mission Objective by the proffered new McNugget sauces. Maybe one would be revelatory, yo!

Well, no, the sweet chili, while good, was about the exact same of any bottled Thai sweet chili sauce.

But here's the thing - all these "exciting" new flavors and other newly festooned nugget-y offerings are a RUSE to distract one from the fact that nuggets (and the sauce tubs) are about HALF the size they were before. I mean, these nuggets are SMALL.

So, yeah, there's that.
