GOOD GRIEF!

On his six month birthday, we moved from appreciative smiling grunts to full on laughing.

One word to my son: MONETIZE!

Sushi night!

Going to our fave sushi dive (in Fairborn, no less!) with Jack and his parents tonight!

In fact, Jack is now sorta-standing up in his little exersaucer contraption, so maybe he will be called upon to grill some stuff, a la Benihana:

Meanwhile, Raiford goes for full assistant-professorship at a womens junior college not far from a fairly popular ski run:

How friendships pay off

Speaking of Mr Glass, he's out in California, traipsing hither and yon with Kyle, no doubt having crazy adventures and being filmed for the Sunday night CBS detective drama The Bear and the Hip-Hop Pioneer. Regardless, he found the necessary eight minutes (such mad skills!) to whip this out, which encapsulates several of my obsessions in one easy-to-post jpeg!

Alone together

Mom and Kelley were out for two hours last night so Rafe and I had to make do. He's been going through a phase where, if Mom is more than two feet away, he freaks the hell out on me. But this went stellarly! Had him in the sling, cleaned off surfaces, he had a nap, Jeopardy was imbibed...yay!

Babies all over

Left: Angela Blackberry B'moc, age: less than a year; right, Raiford William, four weeks, one day.
And their handlers.

What is he dreaming about?

I always liked babies, but this is the most time I have ever spent near one non-stop. Was unaware there would be so much deep REM-cycle sleep!

But with a mere 11 days of life experience, what can he draw upon for building blocks of dreams? His past life as a nuclear technician at Chernobyl? Or just lactation visions, perhaps.

Most likely this, with a soundtrack of "Her Head's Revolving" by the Three O'Clock:

Don 'n' Rafe

Here is my 88-year old dad planting one on his first (!) grandchild!

The ignonimous Eddy name will live on! Probably!

Sit tight

Up and running tomorrow, maybe. All's super-well, though.

Oof!:

Davit/Nancy visit

Went out for lunch Saturday with my brother and sister-in-law in advance of Baby-Drop '11. Fun! Dewey's Edgar Allan Poe pizza is the sickness.

Mad close

We also so very near having the baby's room altogether. At which point this blog will be solely about the baby. No. I will not mention the baby all THAT much, because I love you guys.

Baby Shower 7 - Thanks everyone

Thanks to all who made the baby shower so bee-yoo-ti-ful. We don't deserve your generosity, time, etc. Well, the Bride doesn't, actually. [?]

Baby Shower 6 - Everyone! Touch the baby! Do it!

Baby Shower 5 - The flicking of the V's!
