Troubling

Saturday noon-ish, was at Ace using my Rewards card to buy two rolls of electrical tape and get a Vikings housekey cut...saw this shite by-way-of-Goldfinger cardboard cutout.  I'm told there is a whole series like this.  Purple girl, green people...

"Soul Paint" sounds like a 2003-era Joss Stone record, in the first place.  Just the whole thing is misbegotten as hell.

The Magnificent 13 and a half

Not the same evil snow as today

Had a dusting yesterday morning as well.

Wild Chickens of the South

Apparently, in Daffin Park in the vicinity of Savannah, chickens run free/wild!  Insane!

Dad Po's latest blues combo

Who said the blues was dead?  Well, everybody with a chromosome of taste, but still.

A Cub Scout no longer

Our little friend Charles is, apparently, not so little any longer.  Had his transition ceremony from Cub Scouts to Boys Scouts this last weekend!  Gonna have him get his craft patch by making tiny felt sideburns for Rafe's "Bud from Kill Bill" Halloween costume.

Return to regularly scheduled kvetching

Article in the Sunday Times about some guy who's trying to archive absolutely all printed material, in the (fully rational) fear that digitized crap won't last.  Yay!  How do I get to be the guard at one of these bunkers?

This is amazing, and just look at the crappy, grainy, not-at-all-my-fault quality of the scan!:

Two people a month used the periodical room!  Nightmare.

I would like to think that my basement shelving full of selected magazines and such is contributing in some way to the chance that future peoples will understand who Suede was, what 1996 fashions were and who Jeff Koons was.  It's just me vs. time now, apparently.
