Two things I've been thinking about in this long interval:

1. David Duchovny's part in Zoolander, particularly "keep pulling the sweater."

2. My dislike of drafts of all kinds: military conscription, cold air creeping through the shower curtain, early versions of novels, stories, articles or plays, etc.
