The Mumfords follow the surprise pop success of 2010's Sigh No More with a bigger, bolder set of folk-revival jams - an arena-worthy strumfest full of barn-raising, U2-size choruses. Marcus Mumford rains Bible-thumping words like a puritan divine, giving sons of love and longing a sense of historical weight and moral drama.
Uh, DOES HE?
Also, on same page, picture of guy from nigh-equally weak Band of Horses, smilin' by a lake.
Fuck it, I gotta do the rest of these and get it over with:
* Japandroids (aka bad 1989 Replacements with indie sheen) in top ten
* picture from Zero Dark Thirty with Chastain being escorted by a commander-looking dude who looks like Betty Draper's second husband, but I'm too lazy to see what his name is then see if he's in ZDT. Admittedly this is more my problem. Also, there was an ad for whatever that sure-to-be awful Bill Pullman is President show that confirmed his wife is played by Jenna Elfman, whom I don't care about, but now I won't see the commercial and live with the uncertainty: "Huh - is that Jenna Elfman?"
Uh, tired...but they did mention Hospitality, I guess.
