Thanks, Angelo

Mom has been gone to Mississippi and Alabama since Sunday night, so it's been Father and Bun Vs The World.  We've done fine, and mom arrives home tonight.

Something crazy, though: when Rafe was about a week old through, I don't know, a month, he could be calmed out of crying and lulled to sleep by humming the "Laura Palmer's Theme" from Twin Peaks!  Just fall right out on your chest.  AND it still works. Start with a low lowing of the BUH-buh exhalations right through the melodrama of the melody that comes in (I assume he pictures the phone laying on the floor at the Great Northern with Grace Zabriskie moaning out of it in his wee dreams, yo). You may need to softly whistle the high parts, depending on your range. Then repeat.  Then, he's OUT.  Remarkable!

(Also, just saw that the whole of The Straight Story is on youtube, so that's tremendous news for me, although not the best for my wife who says "I don't want to watch a movie about a guy on a lawnmower..." Oh, but she DOES!)
