Can I really fix a swing? (part 1)

Ugh, in my position as "parks committee chairman" for our neighborhood, I am charged with all sorts of odd responsibilities.  I noticed a bit ago that one of the swings in the "tot lot" had a seat down, detached as it was on one side.  So, I need to re-attach it.  It's missing a u-bolt like the one pictured that was custom made for this ancient-ass swing.  I went to Ace yesterday and got a clevis pin I hoped would fit, but no dice!

But, seriously, don't you worry about it.  It will get done, even if I have to burn this godforsaken town to the ground, craft a mold in the shape I need, and use the molten steel of accumulated yesterdays to do it!
