Pardon the sporadic posting

I caught the baby's cold and am sicker than two dogs and found out on Monday that I would be changing positions at work (yes, it's true, though you can scarcely fathom it: this blog is not my sole vocation!) and doing some other stuff after about eighteen years working with the same folks.  Same pay, still employed, yet...scary!  So, in advance of this (the work terra incognita is arrived at on Monday), I want to give you all a heads up that there may be more of these brief breaches in communication.

I understand that most of the people in the world using the internet are accessing this blog as their sole resource for information, yet are somehow too shy to join as followers.  And I also understand that there is a lot of trepidation on all our parts that I won't keep up my end of the bargain.  But I will.  Patience.

Also: this may be all some sort of cosmic sign that I need to make larger changes, at last.  If you know anyone who is looking for a glib schmuck with few skills, let me know!
