Three blobs about the New York magazine "punk" article from several weeks back

1. Jon Savage is gay?  Had no idea.

2. There is something called "seapunk."  I had hoped it was all standard 70's three-chord punk bullshit about the ocean, ships, scurvy and such.  But no, one glance at wikipedia and some google images tells my old ass that it's more EDM-style bleh with kids dying their hair blue and dolphin imagery appropriated from some old Sega game.  Apparently, it's been commoditized as well. Shame.

3.  Someone needs to make a movie about the Bill Grundy the day before the Pistols interview: what his day was like, being drunk, etc.  Like A Single Man.  It can end with him in his office or greenroom before going on.  Philip Seymour Hoffman's next Oscar!
