Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbel were, for some reason, co-hosting the
Today show this morning...seeing old Jane on reminded me of Chernobyl. At the time Jane was pregnant with, if memory serves, twins. I went around my high school saying "Well, what I'm
really worried about it Jane Pauley's unborn twins..."
Which is to say, my blogging style was already in place, just lacking the forum that the Internet ended up providing. Even then, my inimitable style was as useful as ever for helping the fearful to cope.
