Two (2) thoughts about AVOCADOS


This is the kind of dross that gives blogs a bad name, but tough:


1. Last Friday night, I made that Frankies Spuntino tomato avocado salad you've been wanting to try. Simply heirloom tomatoes (the last of our crop - alas!), a purple onion sliced thin and some a half cup of olive oil and two tbsps of red wine vinegar all stirred up, then the sliced avocados on top with a sprinkle of sea or kosher salt on each. THIS IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD. It doesn't sound like it would be, maybe, but I assure you it is. SO mid-rangey. Would be great with a steak. Shit! Mouth watering.


2. Bride is gone to Wichita for her grandmother's (!) funeral, but when she gets back I will have Italian Guacamole ready, which need



avocados
juice of a lemon
diced sundried tomatoes
a couple green onions cut fine
garlic
salt


Put that shit on some bruschetta, children!
