When reading pays off

Have been slowly making my way through Reporting at Wit's End by St Clair McKelway, a New Yorker dude from the 30's - 60's. I read a review of it and I bought it and it's ace!

Here was the unexpected payoff: there is a profile (co-written with AJ Leibling, however that might have worked) of one Father Divine, a charismatic religious leader in the first half of the 20th, who went around saying he was God all the time. Folks bought it! Anyway, I thought: AHA!, because this is who had the rival that Rusty Trawler's second (?) wife took her alimony to.

So at least that's cleared up.
