Did not expect a hipster comeback on this

Saw a kid Saturday, aged 20 or so, wearing a Police tee shirt.  Really?  I'm trying to imagine the circumstances that have brought the Police to a level of (possibly ironic?) tee shirt hipness.  The "worldly" beats followed up on by kids who've worn out their Vampire Weekend records?  But surely no one cares about Vampire Weekend any more.   Or maybe the proto-Radiohead titling of Ghost in the Machine?

Just the idea of today's kids wasted in front of their gizmos listening to "Walking on the Moon" is so abstract!
