America wept

A house guest the other night told us of an event he attended with "billionaires" and how "every last one of them" had "divested from America."  Okay.  I like America, still, and have hope, sort of.  No, wait, of course I do.  EXCEPT for the fact that my string-trimmer (electric and modified to have the sort of head that uses those licorice-whip looking things instead of spools) died (the main cable in the middle just fell out and the motor suddenly sounded like a weak hair dryer) and when I went to find a replacement, well, no one, not even the Chinese, is yet making an electric trimmer that comes with that kind of head.  I CANNOT GO BACK TO DUEL-SPOOL ANGUISH!  Fuck that.  SO I guess I will have to get the gas one, which I am assured I will love.  Hopefully I will be able to post good news about this next week.
