"Salinger"

After the garlic movie, we watched about an hour and change of My Dinner With Andre, which went well at first, but with a half-hour to go, the Bun could take no more.  His mother came out in him and he pointed at the TV and whimpered, just like his mom would have, and no amount of pointing at "Wally" Shawn and saying that it was Mr. Hall from Clueless could soothe him.  SO, on to Salinger we went.  All the critics were right: the "acted out" portions are annoying.  Great weird vintage shots, though.  OH!, and the writers they have as talking heads, but you've never heard of them - that's annoying.  Why didn't they ask me?  I mean, I all but pioneered the Salingerian italics revival.  Duh.
