Oasis, alas

Because I have evinced an interest in UK rock on occasion, people, often complete strangers, are always stopping me in my tracks to say "Wow, you must love Oasis!" (This happened three times yesterday)  The fact of the matter is I did quite love the first record ( and even this is overstating it a bit), I was way disappointed with ...Morning Glory (sprinkled with goodies but too much filler, and released domestically the same day as the OJ Simpson verdict) and best not speak of Be Here Now.  After that they had the occasional single to remind me they were alive.  But no, I was never an obsessive of anything.

So, I say all this to say I was only half-interested when I clicked on an NME listicle ranking the Oasis Canon.  I was mildly surprised to realize how few of their videos I had ever seen, including these two:

This is amazing, as they are so young, and the 1994 dollybirds are pretty ridiculous.  Best part is Noel's "who, me?/Are we shooting now?/guh?" at about :24 in.

At the other end of the career, we have this budget-buster, which is insane.

So there is The Oasis Story.
