Joe Webb: Hero

Back in 2010, Favre was hurt and so was Tavarus Jackson so I rolled up for football and Kyle was puffing a Newport and said "Some third string guy is QB-ing!  Oh, we're fucked.  Joe Webb?  Who the hell is Joe Webb?"  The next week, Joe crushed the Eagles with ease.

Last year, we went to Detroit and saw Joe come in and bring the team back from a Ponder-minutes 21-0 deficit to within a point and a last play where a facemask on Joe wasn't called.

So, when Joe was called in to sub for Elbows Ponder ("bursitis?" really?) without having thrown a pass in regular season play, I naturally assumed a miracle was at hand and that Joe would father my next child, etc.

A miracle failed to manifest itself, alas.

Do I regret any of this?  NO!  Joe is the heart of that team, whether they want to admit it or not.  Cheering Ponder on, tweeting pictures of rasta snowmen and generally being what I wish I had been, had I grown up.

Don't let them get you down, Joe!
