The far reach of Sumner and Marr

We are taking a birthing class, as new parents should. It's held in a class room at a large church in an area suburb. It's once a week for three hours and has been most educational so far!

There is a summer camp/daycare thing at the church, I've noticed. The staff posts the upcoming events on a dry erase board so little Kendra and Tyson will know what's on the itinerary.

Imagine my shock at THIS upcoming event being listed (I may have to take off work):

"Electronic's Day!"

A whole day celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first LP by the supergroup composed of the guitarists from New Order and the Smiths, thus making it the only important supergroup ever, and the driving force of your emotional well being!

Not to be too judge-y, but appearances can be deceiving: given the area, the interior decor and general post-Hannity milieu of the place I would have thought that the chances of a day being given over in celebration of the makers of "Getting Away With It" and "Get the Message" were exactly zero!

How wrong I was!

And it reads, perhaps sadly so, Last Days of Sumner. Well now, that's no good.
