Why all the late afternoon posts?

Well, I was going to space shit out all day, but then was made so veklempt (sp?) by the New York magazine "Stars' Summer Playlists" feature that I immediately was forced to take action and make a vastly superior Thingy2 playlist for the family, for that "before going to dinner"/"Saturday afternoon in the exersaucer" vibe ("A Night Like This" by the Cure > "Advance Cassette" Spoon > "Hung Up On a Dream" Zombies > er, "Boyfriend" by Alphabeat, etc).

I mean, seriously, people: "Uptown Girl," Questlove?  Annie from St Vincent: "Automatic" by the Pointer Sisters?  And, oh god, guy from Tanlines: fuck off with your "Sledgehammer."

Lots of goddamn Fleetwood Mac, as well.  Ridonk!
