I have to remember to ask our friend the eye surgeon (although I should really make friends with an ophthalmologist or optometrist I can ask) whether the preponderance of people buying off-the-rack non-prescription reading glasses is going to mess up/ruin zillions of eyeballs the nation over. Just asking - I don't want some blinded moron hitting our baby with a Buick - or, worse, the cats!
What REALLY makes me go apeshit lately is hearing people refer to reading glasses as "readers."
