SPYDERBYTE!

Yeah, so, then I got up at 5:30 Friday morning to go fill the tank at six...takes about forty minutes, more or less.  Once tank was filled I decided to use the still-running hose to water our two beds of tomatoes.  So I was spraying with right hand (thumb tamped over end of hose to make a spray) and pulling some weeds with my left.  I felt a little sting, or think I did, nothing more noticeable than brushing your hand by a clump of nettles.  BUT by noon my hand was puffed way the hell up and hot to the touch.  Kim made a bag of ice for it even.  I checked with the experts and there was only a one-in-three chance of necrotizing bacteria, so I did not bother to go to a doctor...and by Sunday night itching had ceased and everything appeared normal.

"Appeared..."
