Rendered twain by Welsh also-rans

I have a real problem with the song "Road Rage" by Catatonia...the chorus has been stuck in my head for two days. Very catchy, yes, and adorable the way Cerys (beer-soaked pop tart, her promo shot tee shirt once read) rolls her r's in a super-Welsh way that would make Nicky Wire blush.

But the problem is the verses: it's like a whole 'nother person singing the verses. Or not singing them; more mewling them like a sick little cat. Weird. She went on to some sort of acoustic career...wait, lemme look...yeah, she's put out some quasi-country records and been on UK reality shows...so, yeah, she probably can sing.

I also dig the 1999-y crap graphics, from back when they did that sort of thing.
