No, not a GBV b-side of yesteryear, but something I often wonder about: what did the Native Americans think of tornadoes? I read boatloads of books on Indian tribes when I was a wee one, and don't remember a thing about this being mentioned. Or lightning, really. Did they just assume it was more hijinx from th' Great Spirit? Particularly on the plains - once in a while a tornado must have been visible coming across the prairie, stirring the buffalo all up?

But old Frederick "Palakon" Remington or whomever never caught a pic of some Sioux scrambling to get out of the way of a twister?
