Someone asked me over the holiday weekends why I use D_____ instead of my city's real name. The short answer is: affectation! But, no, really it's because it's a sort of shorthand for the grimly Dickensian town that it is. Plus a way of not really letting on that I'm still here, instead of living in somewhere you would expect, such as "the Bay Area" or "Spain."
Speaking, you should join as a follower for god's sake.
