Also, what is a practical way to find old magazine articles, now that the Journal of Periodic Literature or whatever the hell it was called seems to be some sort of subscription service? Or is there some readily available thing like this? No, not Google, smartasses. I mean, say I want some old VF article, but don't know the name but I think it came out in 1998 (same day I thought of the front-room drinking fountain)...how can I search by topic? Or any magazine. New York Times Sunday, whatever.
A quandary. I'm sure there is a simple answer, I just don't know it.
