Handbook of Nature Study 1

Went to a work volunteer thing last week at the local parks district's south nature reserve...while waiting for the lunch (and while deftly avoiding having to converse with my fellows), I looked at the park's library and found three books that I promptly ordered from Alibris: one on making money with your herb garden (this so I can tell when to clip off flowers, etc - v. helpful!), one called Garlic, Garlic, Garlic (this will sit nicely next to my copy of Caller ID, Caller ID, Caller ID) and an amazing tome called Handbook of Nature Study. On reading up on this, it was apparently a popular book for schools/kids. Which is astounding, because it's about 900 pages and actually has words in it. Wouldn't pass today!
