I don't really remember doing so, but I must have listened to Songs of the Free by Gang of Four about 11K times when I was 15, because when I re-listened to it in its entirety yesterday for the first time in twenty-five years, I remembered every last clank, bang and [gasp!] bass slap.
"I will be a good boy..."
What a good album! Though if you didn't have a history with it, you may not think so.
Plus, you know from reading your Trip Shakespeare newsetter ca. 1990 that it was the one album all four members of the group owned independently of one another when the group formed.
