I actually had an opportunity to play Rock Band recently, and am faced with a paradox: part of me says "shouldn't people be starting bands and actually playing music instead of pretending to play music?", but the older, more jaded me says "No, would you really want to hear music created by people who love to play Rock Band?"
Was shocked that they had "Grace" by Supergrass as one of the choices. And "Let's Dance." "Girls and Boys" turned out not to be the Blur uber-classic, but rather some song by something called LostProphets [sic], with a chorus of "girls like cars and money..." [wait! It only said it was LasProfitz! It's actually Good Charlotte (shudder!)], which begs the question: in a truly sane world, would the game-makers have not just used "Cars and Girls" by Prefab Sprout?
