I forgot when I posted this earlier that the original purpose of this photo was to run with a post about how I thought, between these two, I had finally assembled the team that could explain to me just what the hell the point of temporary tags was. Like Frenchie in Goodfellas, I had the perfect team.
I guess they did...they said crap about "if there weren't temp tags, all car dealers would need a DMV..." etc. I mean, I guess, but I'm thinking bigger than that. JUST PAY THE 55 DOLLARS FOR A PLATE [rate may vary in your locality] WHEN YOU BUY THE CAR. HAVE PLATES AT THE DEALER'S! Isn't it just as much hassle to have to go back to the DMV later?
