Some say that D_____'s nickname "the Gem City" is a play on D_____ being the gem in the Queen City (Cincinnati)'s crown but no hard feelings! So much to be thankful to you for: the chili, the Reds doing well so far this season...and, in deference to an acquaintance talking up their allegedly stellar "alt-country"* scene they have in the metropolis to our south, a heartfelt "thanks" for KEEPING THAT FUCKING BULLSHIT DOWN THERE!* and no, this blog post was not time-capsuled in 1992 in case the internet blew up. I'm not that clever!
