Again with the Killers?

That's what the Killers record is like, now that I think - Bret Easton Ellis!

I told a friend yesterday that I really loved this record and she just looked at me blankly, but then she's 20 and probably thinks Fleet Foxes are worth a shit. She said "But doesn't it all sound alike?"

"Yes, sort of! But it sounds SHINY, like the FUTURE!"

She looked at me like I was crazy. A real kookoo.

For the record, I really don't think this record sounds all alike. And its sheer vapidness (picked on today in the P-------- review) is its selling point! It's a big shiny empty bauble of nothing and I feel safe and happy listening to it! Yes!
