The problem of paint

Saw a semi on the way to work today, proudly emblazoned with the old-skool Sherwin Williams logo:
Was impressed that SW can still see to use their eternal "COVER THE EARTH" logo, which must cause them acres of troubles with do-gooders who jam their inboxes with heartfelt treatises on how the design is encouraging people to Ruin The Earth...someone should write a short story about a guy whose college-age daughter demands emancipation because her dad is a bigwig at a "similar" paint company with "similar" logo - lots of descriptions of tired old dad, head hung low at cocktail hour, thinking back to how the [approximate] slogan once seemed noble, etc -- except who'd want to read that?
This also made me miss the old magazine delivery/distibution truck one would see around shopping centers, a cheery Bermuda-sand pink color, with a painting of an a crescent moon and 50s-style admonition to "Read a Magazine To-Nite!" Sad how things slip away...
