Obsessed the last couple of days with Belle and Sebastian ep track "String Bean Jean" and its weird tale of boho-ness.Lines like "we all got in the bath to save on the 'leccy bill" and "the label on her jeans said 7 to 8 years old/well, that's pretty small" bring 1997 back in a flash! Maybe it was '98, when I borrowed loose ep's from Kathi and put them on cassette. Hey, maybe that's a B&S song to be:

maybe when it's spring again I can have a cigarette,
the leaves show up and lager flows,
I'll take the plastic off the sleeve
